An early light painting shot on New Year’s Eve 2013 as a way of dedicating the following year to art. I’d learned about this long exposure photography technique from a colleague, and felt immediately inspired to try it myself. After several attempts, I managed to draw legible script text in thin air using my flashlight. I’ve since refined my methods, yet I look to this image because it reminds me that persistence usually pays off in the end. I hope my abstract photo experiment empowers you to keep creating no matter what.
